Welcome to The Presbyterian Church in Morristown! Are you visiting with us for the first time  If so, we invite you to experience the worship services and programs at our church.

1. Need directions

We have two excellent facilities serving the community. Church services are held in the Sanctuary in the center of Morristown at 57 Park Place (On the Green). Next to the Sanctuary building is Howard House, where we offer childcare (ages up to 2 years old) during Sunday services. The Chapel is located on the Tower entrance side of the Sanctuary and is used for special services, weddings and selected musical events. The church offices, where we offer Church School, Nursery School, educational programs and special events, are located in the Parish House at 65 South Street, just a few blocks from the Sanctuary.

Click here for a directions and a map to the Church on the Green and the Parish House.

2. Where to park

Click here for a parking map. There is limited parking behind the Church on the Green, which is restricted for those needing special assistance. Wheelchair accessible ramps are provided. There is street parking around the Green. Adjacent to the Church (on the left as you face the church) is Headquarters Plaza with a parking deck off of Water Street. In the Tower entrance of the Church, there is a machine for validation of your parking ticket. There is public parking behind the Post Office off of Dumont Place.  All parking, including HQ Plaza is free on Sundays.

3. Choose a worship service

On most Sundays there are two services of worship at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. On occasion, these services may be combined into one at 10:00 a.m. Please check the worship calendar for a current schedule. Special services are held throughout the year, including: Mission Sunday, Blessing of the Animals, Healing and Wholeness, Children’s Musical, Passiontide, Easter Vigil and Parade of Palms for Holy Week, Iona Vespers, Fall Parade, Thanksgiving Festival Sunday, a Celtic Christmas, Vespers for Advent, and three Christmas Eve services - a family service at 4:00 p.m., a candlelight service at 7:00 p.m. and the ringing in of Christmas morn at the end of the 11:00 p.m. service.  Childcare is available next door to the Sanctuary at Howard House.

On Wednesdays, we offer a noon worship service in the Chapel followed by a light lunch and fellowship.  An optional Bible study precedes the service most Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Please check the worship calendar for a current schedule.

4. What to expect

Our services are generally an hour long with a celebration of God’s word and exceptional music. You can expect to be personally greeted at the entrance. The church service generally begins with a musical prelude from a bell or vocal choir. The interior map of the church will help orient you to our beautiful facility. Between the 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. services, there is a fellowship time where congregants gather and enjoy refreshments in the Narthex. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.
