Join Our Church Family!

Please consider becoming a member of our church family. Our inquirer’s classes are designed for those who want to: explore being a member, ask questions, and/or learn the history of our church; and for those who know for certain they want to be an official member of our Presbyterian Church in Morristown. All are welcome! Membership matters and joining our church family will be a blessing to you and to all of us!

Look for announcements in the Sunday Bulletin and future issues of the Tower Tidings. If you would like to register for a class, please call the church office at 973-538-1776 or email calloway@pcmorristown.org.
The Power of an Invitation

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." Jesus says, “Come, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

These invitations from Jesus (Matthew chapters 4 and 11) to “Come…” are simple but all so powerful! Jesus teaches us with simplicity and truth how to invite people to discipleship and fellowship. When is the last time you said, “Come to church with me!”

The newest members of our church had many things in common. But the one thing that they all said, as they explained why they had chosen to come to our church, really stood out! Each new member came to our church due to an invitation by a friend and/or neighbor. A personal invitation is obviously very powerful! Your personal invitation may help our church grow into what God wants us to be for each other, our community, and our world.

Go and tell your neighbors and friends to “Come” and see how our church family is following Jesus Christ in amazingly creative ways. The season leading up to Thanksgiving is a good time to invite newcomers. We hope they will want to stay and be a blessing as we strive to be a blessing for them and be a beacon of light shining out from the Morristown area to the world.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. The person who follows me will never live in darkness, but will have the light that gives life.” —John 8:10

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Cindy
