James Ely, d. 16 Mar 1816, age 45. CR67 show James Ely m. Phebe Carmichael 27 Jan 1802. Phebe's 1st Husband would not appear to be the David Carmichael, who was High Sheriff of Morris County, since he did not die until 1810. Thus she could not have been his Widow in 1802. CR34 show Daniel Carmichael, Son of Daniel & Bathsheba (Clark) Carmichael, b. 14 Sep 1768, d. 7 Mar 1799, age 30. It is more likely that this was Phebe's 1st Husband, although The Combined Registers do not show Daniel was ever married. The numbering sequence of Parker's Survey suggest interment at Site 7].
