Children's Events
Throughout the year, there are special services, programs and events geared towards children. Check the Church Calendar for current dates and times. Contact Director of Christian Education, Alexandra Mead, for information.
Parade to the Parish House - Following the 10 a.m. service, on September 9, families parade across town, led by a Stilt Band, to the Parish House for food, fun and an orientation to programs for children and youth.
Church School - Sundays, starting September 16 at 9:15 a.m. (drop-off 9 a.m.) at the Parish House.
Tower Choir Car Wash - Saturday, September 29, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in Parish House parking lot.
Church Activities and Blessing of the Animals - At Morristown's Fall Festival, Sunday, September 30, bring pets to our tent for a blessing outside the Church on the Green.
Third Grade Bible Sunday - Sunday, October 21 at 10 a.m. - a family service led by Tower, Bel Canto and Bel Melodia choirs.
Pumpkin Painting - Saturday, October 27 at 2 p.m.
Bel Canto Choir Leads Service at Spring Hills Retirement Home - Sunday, October 38 at 10 a.m.
Hurricane Party - Friday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m. - games, movies, pizza. All ages, bring your friends for some warmth and fellowship.
Thanksgiving Festival Sunday - Sunday, November 18 at 10 a.m. All choirs participate.
Carol Sing - Sunday, December 9 at 5 p.m.: Christmas musical by the Tower Choir, group caroling and a pasta dinner served by the Ringers-on-the-Green.
Ice Cream Party - Bel Canto and Bel Melodia choir rehearsal at Church on the Green, December 19 at 4:15 p.m.
Christmas Eve Family Service - December 24 at 4 p.m.
Ice Skating Party - Sunday, January 26 at 2 p.m. at Mennen Arena.
Children's Musical - On Sunday, February 3 at 10 a.m., presented by the Bel Canto and Bel Melodia choirs. The Tower Choir rings, as well.
Ash Wednesday - February 13 at 4:30 p.m., is a special
observance for children as part of the Midweek program.
Game Night - Friday, February 23 at 4 p.m.
Tower rings/sings - Sunday, February 24, during 9:15 a.m. worship.
Chili Cook-Off - A family fun night sponsored by the Youth Ministry, Friday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. (NOTE rescheduled from February)
Bel Melodia rings - Sunday, March 17, prelude to 9:15 a.m. worship.
Egg Dyeing and Hunt - Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m.
Palm Sunday - at start of 10 a.m. worship on March 24, children parade into the Sanctuary
Easter Sunday - March 31 at 9:15 and 11 a.m. - all children's choirs participate with Children's Breakfast between services.
Spring Clean-up - On Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-12 noon, all ages come out for a morning of cleaning up buildings and grounds, with light bagels and lunch
Youth Laser Tag Day - Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. for middle and high school youth.
Collage Concert - Solo and ensemble musical performances by and for all ages, Sunday, April 21 at 4 p.m. Listen to performances.
PW Family Breakfast and Program - Spring Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Tower rings/sings - Sunday, May 5, during 9:15 a.m. worship.
Tower Choir to Great Adventure - Saturday, May 4 at 8:30 a.m.
Church School Teacher Appreciation Breakfast - Last Sunday of Church School, May 12 at 9:15 a.m.
Youth Sunday - The service is led by our youth with Bel Melodia and Bel Canto children's choirs ringing/singing on May 19 at 10 a.m.
Midweek Scavenger Hunt - Last Wednesday of Midweek, May 22 at 4:15 p.m.
Church Picnic - June 2, 2012, at 11:30 p.m.
Vacation Bible School -August 12-16 from 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at PCM
