The Presbyterian Church in Morristown offers a wide range of musical events throughout the year. Our many choirs perform, and outside groups are invited to participate in worship, special services and concerts.

Jazz Vespers

Four Sundays October 1, 8, 15 & 22, 5pm

The Steve Hess Jazz Band and guest soloists lead an interactive worship experience through the uniquely American musical expression of jazz which mirrors many of the dimensions in our lives: authenticity, movement, dissonance and improvisation. Service of Choral Evensong

Sunday, November 5, 5pm

The Chancel Choir lead a service of Choral Evensong on the feast of All Saints featuring the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in G Major by Charles Villiers Stanford, Preces and Responses by Philip Radcliffe, and Stanford’s anthem Beati Quorum Via.  Music will be under the direction of Dr. Matthew Webb, Director of Music, assisted by Kevin Graf, Organ Scholar.  Learn more about the Choral Evensong. Chancel Choir performs at Carnegie Hall: 57th Street at Seventh Avenue, New York

Sunday, November 19, 8:30pm

The Chancel Choir will be performing the music of American composer Randol Bass with the Distinguished Concerts International New York Choir and Orchestra.  The choir performed with this organization at Carnegie Hall in 2016 and is thrilled to be honored with the invitation to perform again.  Please support the choir by attending the performance.  Ticket information is available at Here!

Handel’s Messiah, Part One:

The Chancel Choir will present Part One of Handel’s oratorio, Messiah, as a part of the Morning Worship service.  The choir will be joined by a baroque chamber orchestra, conducted by Dr. Matthew Webb, with our Choral Scholars and choir members as soloists.  This musical service is in conjunction with our Christian Education ministry’s small group study of the Messiah in the season of Advent.  The service is free of charge and all are welcome to attend.
