Philosophy

We are a Christian Nursery School that operates as a form of outreach for The Presbyterian Church in Morristown.  The primary goal of our school is to serve children and families within the Morristown area by offering a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for young children.  We offer the children an opportunity for emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development in a Christian environment.

Who, Why, What

At the Presbyterian Church Nursery School, we know the importance of your child’s learning years.  That is why we have designed a quality program, which provides a secure environment and individual attention for each child. Our non-profit school is licensed by the State of New Jersey for children between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years of age and is sponsored by The Presbyterian Church in Morristown.

Curriculum Objectives

As early childhood educators, our teachers provide an environment in which they can guide and enhance each child’s development.  Our major goals are:

  • To develop a positive self-image
  • To develop a positive attitude toward learning and school
  • To foster growth in the emotional, physical and cognitive areas of development

Tuition Policy

  • A non-refundable $50.00 registration fee is payable at the time an application is submitted.
  • The first tuition payment is 10% of the total tuition and is also due at the time of enrollment.  This 10% payment is refundable until June 15th.
  • Remaining tuition payments are due quarterly:  September 1, December 1, and March 1.  After two weeks, there will be a $50.00 late fee added to any outstanding tuition payment; for each week beyond that, an additional $25.00 late fee will be added.  Thirty days notice must be given if a child is to be withdrawn from the school.

Parent Participation

Parents are encouraged to participate in special events and field trips with their child.  Parents have the opportunity to speak with their child’s teacher on a daily basis, and formal conferences are scheduled in late winter.  Most importantly, we have an “open door” policy with all our parents.
