Operation Love - 26 Years of Giving

Every Christmas, The Presbyterian Church in Morristown joins in the outreach effort, Operation Love, which distributes boxes of food, fruit, clothing, toys and personal items to help Morris County families and senior citizens celebrate Christmas.  This effort is sponsored by the Church of God in Christ.

1)  Beginning on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the Christmas trees in the PCM Narthex, Chapel and Parish House are decorated with paper ornaments with gift requests.  People are invited to remove one or more ornaments from the tree and add someone's wishes to their shopping list.  Tape the ornament to your UNWRAPPED GIFT and place it under the tree in the Narthex of the Church on the Green by the second Sunday in December.  As gifts are picked up for wrapping that day, gifts cannot be accepted any later.

2)  Volunteers gather at the Church of God in Christ to wrap and pack gifts.  This wrapping event occurs Monday though Friday, the second full week in December, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

3)  Volunteers deliver gift boxes to people's homes on the third Saturday in December, from 8:30 a.m.-Noon.

Please contact Noel if you can help wrap presents and/or deliver packages.

Past volunteers have said, "Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Operation Love."
