Peace and Justice Committee

This group is charged with finding ways for our church to express its faith in the Prince of Peace through social justice issues locally, nationally and internationally. The group makes presentations to Christian Education classes (all ages) on such issues as immigration within our community.

Two local groups actively supported by Peace and Justice are Pathways to Work and Morris Area Committee to Reduce Gun Violence.

Morris County Takes the Sandy Hook Promise

Saturday, March 9, 2013
9:30-10:30 a.m.
PCM Parish House
(65 South Street)

Rob Cox, Co-founder of Sandy Hook Promise, Newtown, CT will speak about how we can attempt to reduce the high rate of gun violence in America, and not let the tragedy of Sandy Hook and the memory of those innocent young victims and their teachers be forgotten.  The Sandy Hook Promise acknowledges that "freedom from gun violence is a civil right” – and a right that our legislators are sworn and obligated to protect.
