Foundation for Peace

The Presbyterian Church in Morristown is proud to support the work of the Foundation for Peace, our partner for international mission. Foundation for Peace is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to working hand-in-hand with people in materially impoverished areas of the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Kenya to provide educational support, healthcare access, economic opportunity and hope. Each year, Foundation for Peace offers intergenerational mission trips to all three countries, helping to build schools and churches, clean water systems, medical clinics and disaster assistance.

There are many different ways in which people can help. For further information or to sign up for a mission trip, go to the Foundation for Peace website

Project Hope

Help FFP provide needed items to ship to Haiti and the DR!

In order to meet critical needs in both countries we need:

  • 300 school desks, tables and chairs of any size.  We will pick them up within 150 miles of New York City. Please contact your local schools to ask if they are disposing of furniture. Email Ken to arrange for pick up!
  • Used cars, trucks and vans that must be less than 5 years old to export. If FFP will pay to have them transported to New Jersey for shipping.  Email Ken for pick up!
  • Book cases, white boards and markers, office furniture, musical instruments, foldable tables, multivitamins, school supplies.  No clothing please! Only working items!

The next container will be loaded at the Long Valley Presbyterian Church (39 Bartley Rd, Long Valley, NJ)Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you can help on Saturday, please RSVP to Wendy.  If you are too far away to provide supplies or help load, please consider sending a check payable to FFP to help cover the cost of the container.
