New Leader of Newton Presbytery
begins February 2013

The Rev. Jeanne Radak was born and raised in Caribou, Maine.  She left New England to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study music and to embark on her career as the conductor of a great symphony.  Instead, she graduated with a history degree and immediately went to Pittsburgh Seminary for a Master of Divinity. In 1985, she was ordained as an assistant pastor for First Presbyterian Church of Geneva, NY, and began a new adventure as an interim pastor.  She loved interim ministry work and served congregations in New York, Michigan and Indiana.  In the fall of 1994 while living in Syracuse, NY, Jeanne was asked by the Presbytery COM to use her interim skills to help Elmwood Presbyterian Church close.  Instead, Jeanne and the Elmwood Congregation began the next adventure by learning together what it means to discern God’s call to change and transform.  Eleven years later, realizing that she had failed to close the church, God called her to be the Associate Executive of Congregational Ministry for the Presbytery of Philadelphia.  Jeanne is married to Bronc Radak, also a Presbyterian Minister.  Jeanne and Bronc have two children, Joseph and Margaret.
