First Sunday of Advent - Take Me Back
November 30

7:45  Contemplative Communion service
10 a.m.  Rev. Dr. David Lawrence preaches with the lighting of the first candle for Advent and music by the Chancel Choir and organist Ryan Kennedy. 

Second Sunday of Advent - Introductions
December 7
7:45  Contemplative Communion service with violinist Nancie Lederer
10 a.m. 
The Chancel Choir and chamber orchestra (musicians from the church and NJ Symphony) perform Bach's Magnificat in D Major - Mary's Song of Joy as a musical service of worship.

Watch The First Nowell and A Jazz Nativity, two major works performed last year for Advent.

Third Sunday of Advent - Preparing for an Arrival
December 14

7:45  Contemplative Communion service with guitarist Carlos Cuestas
10 a.m.  A Communion service with Baptism led by Rev. Dr. David Smazik with the lighting of the 3rd Advent candle and music provided by the Men's Chorus and the Recorder Consort.

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Found
December 21
7:45  
Contemplative Communion service with vocal music
10 a.m.
  A Baptism service led by Rev. Dr. David Smazik. The Christmas Joy Offering is dedicated. The fourth Advent candle is lit. Music provided by the Chancel Choir.

Christmas Eve Services

4:00 p.m.  The children’s choirs lead an informal, interactive candlelight service presenting the Christmas Story, ideal for children, families and the young at heart. Directed by Julie Ramseyer and Alexandra Mead

7:00 p.m.  Rev. Dr. David Smazik leads a candlelight service of Lessons and Carols with readings that present the Christmas story. Carols, choral and instrumental music are provided by the Ringers-on-the-Green (ROGS) and the Chancel Choir. 6:45 prelude music is provided by the Ringers-on-the-Green and organist Ryan Kennedy. Music directed by Matt Webb.

11:00 p.m. This service follows the same format as the 7 p.m. service but culminates at midnight with the traditional ringing in of Christmas Day by the ROGS. Music directed by Matt Webb.
