UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Free us, O God, from such absorption in our own concerns that we forget your loving intention for us. We find it hard to view what is happening around us through any eyes but our own. We get weighed down by the cares of this life. Our actions and thoughts become shortsighted. We take so much for granted, failing to value the wonder of life around us; the gift of family, friends, co-workers, the reality of your spirit dwelling within us. Remind us daily of who we are, why we are here and what is important that we might be freed to give ourselves away in acts of love, mercy, justice and grace. Amen.
