PRAYER OF CONFESSION (unison)

Gracious God, from the very beginning of creation, you gave humankind work to do.  You called Adam and Eve to care for the earth and you blessed them.  Forgive us when we see our work as neither a calling nor a blessing.  Open our eyes to the gift of our work, whatever it may be, that we might receive strength to accomplish the tasks of each day and grace to honor you, those with whom we serve, and those we serve.  Amen.
